My fix for keeping glue bottles from drying up.

I have hear a lot of people complaining about there scotch quick dry glue drying out fast while working on projects. Well here is a fix for that take a paper towel and wet it then wring it out good or a baby wipe and put in the bottom of a glass.Now remove the lid from your glue and turn it upside down in the glass where the damp towel is The glue will be at the end of the bottle and the towel will keep it from drying out. just remember to put the lid back on when done but you can just leave the bottle in the glass upside down for next time just replace the damp towel and go to work. This will work for all glues.Hope this will help.

Here is a Santa Train made again from Svgcuts.com files.

Well I have my Christmas Village finished. Tina {my oldest daughter} and worked on this for a few weeks but i think it turned out great. We used svg files from svgcuts.com I used Peony Cottage for Santa's workshop, Miss Karen's Back to School for the School House, Gingerbread Chalet Village for the Elf Quarters, Spring Birdhouses for the Bakery and the Stables. { of course without the hole for the bird lol then added a door}, The Santa Sleigh was from Merry and Bright .The svg files from Svgcuts.com cut very well and go together easily. Mary is very talented at making svg files. ok so here are the pic.

I am not very good at taking pictures.this is with the lights off and the tea light and the lights we add to the Christmas Tree. Doing that tree was a pain in the neck {I let Tina do it lol} .

We tried to get a towel to block everything but the village didn't work the best.

 School for the The bakery and School house {Spring Birdhouses for the Bakery the short house, Miss Karen's Back toSchool House}

The Stables  is made from {Spring Birdhouses} the Tall house we just added doubles doors

Here are a few close ups

This frozen lake turned out great I didn't know if my  idea would work or not.
I free handed the lake in a light blue then run it thought the sticker maker and covered it in  ulta thick embossing powder after heating it looked just like ice.

The reindeer are made from little cloth pens a wooden stool, I sorry but I don't remmeber were I got the svg for the head and antlers just cut them  and hot glued them on, then run tiny bells on embroidery thread and glue dotted them to the deer.

I hope you all have a safe and Merry Christmas!!

Hi! I thought I would start by tell you all some of the sites I like to use for my crafting.
I love my cricut and ecraft die cut machines. When you first get the cricut it can be over whelming and I have found just what you need Megan Elizabeth from  Above Rubies Studio she has a library of dvd's on the cricut, the gypsy, stamping, card making, she also has a line of paper called paper layerz you get 9 4" sq. on each page that all go together with a full 12 x 12 sheet on the other side and it cuts like butter. Her site is full of free videoes she teaches you to do all kinds of projects, from scrapbook pages to cards, ornament etc.... Love this site.
